It Has So Much to Do With How You Treat Yourself

Good Morning Beautiful, 

How are you today ? How are you feeling ? Did you sleep well ? 

I ask this because sometimes we don't even know until we ask ourselves and I experienced that last night. I was on a coaching call or zoom I should say and the first question asked to the group something very similar . 

We were asked " how does your mind , body and spirit feel ?" and I hadn't checked in with myself until that moment. Let me tell you, at that moment my less than sunny reply surprised me a tad. Why? Well, I was having an off day as we all do, but today is a new day. 

For me to have a great day and function at my best it requires but not limited to the following : 

  • A good night rest with the help of magnesium and even a mouth guard if I'm stressed as I get a headache otherwise
  • An early start to the morning to have coffee and get my mind organized, always making my bed right away.
  • Physical activity , whether it be yoga, weights , a walk or stretching.
  • Water and vitamins
  • A nice shower and get ready , and spray my C A P T U R E by VaVa of course , even if I'm home for the day.

What I have also learned is that being home so often which I never have been before like many of you , it requires a clean, de cluttered space or my mind is all over the place and I am constantly distracted. 

For me, these are the essentials to starting the day on a good note and treating not only myself but my space with kindness. A routine although can seem daunting at times , truly is what keeps us focused and reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed. 

As for the body, besides trying to keep it moving , I nourish it with clean whole foods and water ... all day. In order to do that , a few days a week I prepare a variety of foods that are always cooked in my fridge so I can always have nice balanced meals and I'll get into what I eat more in detail another day :)

Your body needs to be nourished to maintain mental and physical harmony. 

Whenever I am feeling anxious or overwhelmed , I take 20 minutes to meditate which I have found to be super impactful although I have a ways to go until I can do it without a guide. If you are new to meditation and would like to try, download Insight Timer and test out a few guides :)

I am a believer that we must fill our mind, body and soul with all things that make it feel good and that my friend, is a few things.
